THANK YOU FOR AN INCREDIBLE BACK TO SCHOOL SEASON!

In 2026, our community showed up in a big way. Thanks to the generosity of our volunteers, donors, sponsors, community partners, and staff, local children started the school year with the supplies they needed to feel prepared and supported!

The impact of this year’s Back To School initiative reflects a growing need among children and families across Dane County.

823 backpacks filled and distributed across the initiative

667 registered children served (An increase of 45% from 2025)

269 registered families served (An increase of 43% from 2025)

77 volunteers who generously gave their time

43 community partners, up from 18 last year

100% of event food and beverages donated in-kind

We served 667 children and 269 families on distribution night. This represents a 45% and 43% increase from 2025.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Dane County consistently works to recognize and respond to our community’s changing needs. New resource partners joined us on-site this year to connect families with additional support, and every family had the opportunity to enjoy a meal during the event.

Join us at Stuff The Bus!

Each year, we partner with News 3 Now to “Stuff the Bus” with school supplies.

Stop by during the kickoff or finale event to drop off your supplies, say hello to our staff, and help equip local youth with the supplies they need to enter the new school year excited to learn.

Need School Supplies for Your Child?

🗓️ Join Us At Open House

If you need school supplies for your child, please plan to attend our Open House event on Tuesday, August 25th, 2026 from 4PM-6PM.

At this event, you and your family will have a chance to learn about the services and programs Boys & Girls Clubs of Dane County has to offer the community, and pick up supplies for your children!

Tuesday, August 25th, 2026

Registration for Open House will take place onsite through walk-up registration only. Supplies will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.

We strongly encourage families to arrive during the first half of the supply drive at the location they plan to attend to help ensure the best availability of supplies.
